This event will serve as the kickoff for ‘Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful Month,’ in which an event will be held to observe protection of the river and its tributaries as events are held in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Kentucky.
Living Lands & Waters will partner at this event, bringing five boats to take volunteers to along Fort Loudon Lake shorelines. The KTNRB boat will be on site, as well!
A volunteer breakfast will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the Lakeside Tavern, 10911 Concord Park Drive, prior to the 11 a.m. cleanup. River cleanup volunteers will receive free entry to this breakfast, at which the Tennessee River Ripple Effect Awards will be given to Tennessee River champions from all over the State of Tennessee.
Following the breakfast, volunteers will walk down to Concord Marina where five Living Lands & Waters boats and the KTNRB boat will be waiting to go out on a river cleanup.
