We’re thrilled to partner with another great organization, Keep the TN River Beautiful, for this awesome opportunity!
Join an event to ride in KTNRB’s two 26-foot work boats as you clean Fort Loudoun Lake of the Tennessee River leading up to the 2023 Bassmaster Classic kicking off later in the week. The cleanup, held in collaboration with Yamaha Rightwaters and with support from AFTCO, will give volunteers the chance to clean shorelines alongside professional anglers like Ish Monroe (who serves on KTNRB’s board), Bobby Lane, and Bill Lowen. Volunteers will be provided lunch courtesy of Yamaha and receive giveaways for their participation.
BACKSTORY:
In 2019, Yamaha Rightwaters made a donation of $5,000 to Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful during the most attended Bassmaster Classic ever held, located in Knoxville, Tenn. At the time, KTNRB had not even introduced its first boat to the water and had removed around 60,000 lbs. of trash from he Tennessee River.
Four years later, KTNRB now boasts two boats powered by over $30,000 worth of Yamaha outboard motors donated by Yamaha and have rallied nearly 3,000 volunteers two remove over 540,000 lbs. of trash from the Tennessee River watershed. KTNRB is off to a great start this year with over 53,000 lbs. of trash already removed in 2023.
This cleanup on March 21st is a continuation of KTNRB’s efforts to clean Fort Loudoun Lake of the Tennessee River leading up to the Bassmaster Classic as it returns to Knoxville. Earlier in January of this year, 25 volunteers helped to remove 3,683 lbs. of trash from Fort Loudoun Lake in preparation for the cleanup.
Join this cleanup with Yamaha Rightwaters and professional anglers to help make a difference for our river while enjoying a one-of-a-kind experience with Yamaha sponsored professional athletes!
